:: ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

The program aims at beginners and relatively advanced students.
For those who are relatively advanced (Advanced Spanish Track), the program fits into the list of courses offered by the foreign language department. As established by the Spanish section, students participating in this program should be conversant in Spanish at the 4th semester level or its equivalent, which means successful completion with a minimum grade of B of Spanish 4B or its equivalent.

As all the coursework in Buenos Aires will be done in Spanish, the students enrolling in the program will be encouraged to engage an intensive plan of conversational exchange with tutors or other students while being at Swarthmore, in order to provide an opportunity for the future cultural exchange between Swarthmore students and other Argentine university students.

It is with this aim that, in Buenos Aires, all students will attend to daily Spanish classes, specially designed for their language level.

For those with very limited Spanish language skill, the program, both at Swarthmore and in Buenos Aires, will prepare special courses and will encourage the students to get involved with Argentinian life as soon as possible.
