Mirta Zaida Lobato // Program Director
She has a Ph. D. in History from the University of Buenos Aires. She teaches as full Professor and researcher in the Facultad de Filosofía y Letras of the University of Buenos Aires, and has been Visiting Rrofessor and Guest Researcher in numerous universities. Guggenheim Fellow (2006), she has also been awarded with Postdoctoral Grant of the Sephis Program (The Netherlands (2003-2004), among other honours and awards. She has published extensively on process of formation of a “working class culture” in Argentina during the 20th Century and the gender relationship established in the working world. She is a founder member and part of the board of Entrepasados, Revista de Historia [Entrepasados, Journal of History], which was awarded the Premio a revistas de Historia y Ciencias Sociales from the Fundación Ford (2004) [Award for Journals of History and Social Sciences from the Ford Foundation], and also a member of the editorial board of Mora, Revista del Instituto Interdisciplinario de Estudios de Género, Facultad de Filosofía y Letras, UBA. [Journal of the Interdisciplinary Institute for Gender Studies, School of Philosophy and Letters, University of Buenos Aires].
