The Swarthmore Program in Buenos Aires (SPBA) aims at facilitating a strongly personalized academic and living experience in one of the largest and most cosmopolitan Latin American cities. Its goals underline Spanish language acquisition and improvement, in-depth exposure to historic and contemporary Buenos Aires, and academic training tailored to the specific interests of the student.
It is an ambitious program that will serve students interested in taking their Spanish to an advanced level of fluency, as well as those located at the beginner or intermediate levels. All will live in a Latin American metropolis and will experience a different, high-quality academic environment. The goal is to offer an excellent foreign study experience to a diverse group of students, disciplines and departments.
